Conference transport

This page contains basic information about the easiest modes of transport between the airport, the city and the main UnitingWomen conference venue (Wesley Kent Town Uniting Church).

Local residents may wish to jump straight to the “Adelaide ↔ Wesley Kent Town Uniting Church” section. The rest of this information will mostly be helpful to people visiting Adelaide (from interstate, overseas or outside the Adelaide metropolitan area).

We highly recommend using Google Maps to determine which transport options are most suitable given the location of your accommodation. The times and routes listed here have been calculated to run between Grenfell Street in the city centre and the other locations.

UnitingWomen will be hosted by Wesley Kent Town Uniting Church located at 27 Grenfell street, Kent Town, Adelaide, South Australia.

Adelaide Airport ↔ Adelaide

Public transport:

There is public transport available from Adelaide airport to the central business district or city centre of Adelaide. The trip takes approximately 30 minutes. The J1 and J3 buses are the most direct between the city and the airport, with a stop both at the airport (located near the taxi rank) and several specific stops along Currie and Grenfell Streets in the city centre.

A J1 or J3 bus leaves at least every 30 minutes (usually more like 15), from the very early hours of the morning until approximately 11-11.30pm.. For specific times, please see the full timetable here.

When catching the J1 from the airport, please ensure you catch one going to the City (not Glenelg). To view bus stop locations in the city, please use Google Maps (see below) or the map available here.

Taxi/car:

The trip to/from the airport should take approximately 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic.
